Book a Site or Equipment at Camp Oswego

Located on the beautiful Bellisle River, Camp Oswego has been owned and operated by Girl Guides of Canada for over 60 years. The site consists of a main house, activity shelter, indoor and outdoor washrooms, all on a large parcel of waterfront land. All buildings are wheelchair accessible. The beach is available for camping, swimming and boating. There is a large field area for camping and other activities.

Rental Rates

Guiding Day Rates

$5 per person

Guiding Overnight Rates

  • Full Property: $35 plus $5 per person/per night
  • Main House $25 plus $5 per person/per night
  • Tenting Field $15 plus $5 per person/per night

Non-Guiding Rates

Rentals outside of Guiding are welcome. Please contact nb-propertybookings@girlguides.ca for additional information and pricing.

  • Guider Private Rental: $75+HST/day
  • Non-Guider Rental: $150 +HST/day

Sites

In the spirit of Guiding, we encourage groups sharing Oswego to be respectful of your fellow campers, to cooperate when using shared areas, and to communicate openly when planning your camp or sleepover so all units can coordinate the use of amenities. Please collaborate on cleaning of the camp after use and remember to leave no trace at Oswego. Please Note: Groups are required to take home all garbage, compost and recycling. Cleaning supplies, dish cloths, dish towels, and toilet paper are provided.

Main House (Overnight Capacity: 24)

  • Available to rent for overnight or daytime events year round
  • contains a full eat-in kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, one full bath, one ½ bath, mudroom, pantry with sink
  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Electric heat and heat pump
  • Clothes dryer
  • Landline telephone (long distance charges will be billed to renter)
  • Full Kitchen – dining area with large table and bench seating for approximately 10-12 adults, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker
  • Mudroom off the kitchen with extra fridge
  • Pantry with additional sink, selection of pots, pans, cookie sheets, electric griddles, toasters, water jugs, dish pans, plastic cups & dishes, etc.
  • Bedroom 1 & 2 (Green Room & Pink Room) suitable for girls with sleeping pads on the floor (up to 8 per room). There are 21 gym mats (2’x4’) available for sleeping use.
  • Bedroom 3 (Blue Room) contains 2 single beds and a half bath. It is more suited for Guiders (up to 4) or Units can house girls in all three bedrooms and use the living room area for Guiders
  • Full 3-piece bathroom (tub/shower, sink, toilet)
  • Carport off the kitchen with app. 7 picnic tables (suitable for meals outside)
  • 2 BBQ’s (propane is provided)
  • Fire barrel for campfire (located on the beach, bring your own firewood)
  • Seasonal outside tap (located on far end of house opposite mudroom)
  • Basement storage area – this area is used by many Districts to store gear, please do not remove items without gaining permission

Tenting Field (Overnight Capacity: 200)

  • Large un-serviced field available for camping or activities – May to October
  • Access to fridge (located in mudroom)
  • Access to shared outdoor washroom
  • Access to Beach
  • Fire barrel for campfire (on the beach, bring your own firewood)
  • Grey water disposal area - outdoor washroom or kitchen panty sink

Activity Shelter (Overnight Capacity: 12)

Check out 1:00 p.m.

  • Share Space when renting Tenting field or House
  • Wheelchair Accessible
  • Units may sleep in the Activity Shelter; it sleeps approximately 12
  • Electricity, wood stove, picnic tables, folding tables
  • Shelves of games and activities (shared use for all campers)
  • Access to Fridge (located in Mudroom of the house)
  • Access to shared outdoor washroom
  • Grey water disposal – outdoor washroom or kitchen pantry sink
  • Units should come self-sufficient (own dishes, cooking, etc.)

  • Please note: groups interested in boating can contact Camp Oswego for information on kayaks and canoes available and boating Safe Guide requirements that must be met.

Directions for Everyone

  • Take Exit 141 (Quispamsis/Kingston)
  • Follow 119 North to Gondola Point Ferry
  • Take Ferry and Turn Right when you leave the Ferry
  • Continue the same Road and go straight through the 4-way intersection (Irving Store will be on the right-hand side)
  • Continue following this road until it ends and then turn left
  • Follow this road – you will pass the Belleisle Marina on your right – water on your left
  • About 2km later you will see Camp Oswego on your left

Booking Terms and Conditions

Payments and cancellations

Payment is due the first Friday after the last day of booking. A $20 cancellation fee will apply to all bookings cancelled within 2 weeks of booking date. For cancellations, refunds, or rescheduled bookings contact NB-PropertyBookings@girlguides.ca.

Check-In time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 1 p.m. If these times do not work, please contact NB-PropertyBookings@girlguides.ca to make other arrangements.
